Canonical formulation of magnetic domain-wall motion

► We revisit a long-standing problem concerning the inertial mass of a magnetic domain wall motion. ► We use the Diracʼs prescription for a constrained Hamiltonian dynamics. ► Canonical formulation shows that the correct mass depends on both the hard z-axis and easy x-axis anisotropies.
