Electron impact ionization of He, Ne and Ar

Distorted wave models, which were successfully used in positron impact ionization studies, are applied to electron impact ionization of He, Ne and Ar. When combined with the ‘maximum interference’ exchange approximation, two such models give results which are in good agreement with the experiments.
