On the possibility of experimental observation of Cherenkov losses effect on the Josephson vortex induced motion

Relationship between the bias current and vortex velocity is derived. Conditions of experiment in which the basic contribution to a current due to vortex energy losses on Cherenkov radiation of Swihart waves in a long Josephson junction are found.
