Ground states of the frustrated Blume-Emery-Griffiths model in a field

► We study ground states of a frustrated BEG model in a field on triangular lattice. ► We establish ground state phase diagrams and energies in a broad parameter space. ► For selected parameters we check magnetization processes by Monte Carlo simulations.
