Fourth order elastic chiral filament model and the centerline of uniform Kirchhoff elastic rod

The general fourth order elastic filament model originally proposed to explain the behavior of chiral polymer is demonstrated to contain the closed configurations given by the centerline of uniform Kirchhoff rods in equilibrium.
