Brownian Shape Dynamics in Fission

Remarkably accurate fission-fragment mass distributions can be obtained by treating the nuclear shape evolution as a Metropolis walk on previously calculated five-dimensional potential-energy surfaces; this novel method is briefly reviewed here.
