Fluvio-mechanical resetting of the Al and Ti centres in quartz

► We have used a tumbler to simulate sediment movements in rivers. ► Relatively short tumbler times reset the ESR centres in quartz. ► This provides the experimental underpinning for ESR dating of river terraces.
