Clinical tests of large area thermoluminescent detectors under radiotherapy beams

► Thermoluminescence films were tested under radiotherapy beams. ► The detectors were irradiated in a water phantom and read with a dedicated TLD reader. ► Dose distributions of treatment plans were measured and compared with planned ones. ► Non-homogeneity, maybe due to sheets manufacture, still affects detectors response. ► If properly corrected, TL films can be considered for 2D dose verification.
