Influence of thallium doping on scintillation characteristics of mixed KDP/ADP crystals

Crystals of K1-xAxDP:TlK1-xAxDP:Tl (0.1 wt%) were grown. Different fractions of potassium ions in the form of prism and pyramid morphology at x>0.8x>0.8 were found. The fluorescence emission (277–282 nm) and excitation (205–210 and 225–230 nm) spectra of mixed crystals doped with thallium were measured. The scintillation light output was determined under excitation by both αα- and ββ-particles.
