An interacting particle model with compact hierarchical structure

► An interacting N-particle system, with a closed BBGKY hierarchy, is formulated. ► Monte Carlo simulations show nucleation, wandering, merging and fragmentation of clusters. ► Long-range interaction results in cluster fragmentation only on ultra-long time scales. ► Analytical solutions compare well with Monte-Carlo statistics.
