Potential well metamorphosis of a pivoting fluid-filled container

► We study the stability of a pivoting cylindrical container that is slowly filled with fluid. ► The stability of the equilibria are studied using the Lagrange-Dirichlet theorem. ► Increasing the fluid height changes the stability of the equilibria.
