Computing the Maslov index of solitary waves, Part 2: Phase space with dimension greater than four

► The Maslov index of solitary waves can be computed numerically. ► Exterior algebra is suitable for low-dimensional systems. ► A QR-type algorithm can be used for higher-dimensional systems. ► Several examples are treated: a class of reaction-diffusion equations, a longwave-shortwave equation and a seventh-order Korteweg-de Vries equation.
