Warm cascade states in a forced-dissipated Boltzmann gas of hard spheres

► We study the non-equilibrium solutions of the Boltzmann equation. ► We introduce forcing and dissipation terms in the isotropic condition to study the steady states. ► We derive a diffusion approximation model to mimic the observed warm cascades. ► We relate the thermodynamic quantities to the forcing and dissipative terms.
