Multibreathers in Klein-Gordon chains with interactions beyond nearest neighbors

► We study Klein-Gordon chains with interactions longer than the nearest-neighbor ones. ► These systems support phase-shift breathers unlike the classical KG chains. ► These motions arise by bifurcations from the standard configurations. ► The existence of phase-shift breathers may lead to symmetry breaking instabilities.
