Infinite-horizon Lorentz tubes and gases: Recurrence and ergodic properties

► A (2D) Lorentz tube is a Lorentz gas in a strip of the plane. ► We study aperiodic Lorentz tubes and Lorentz gases with infinite horizon. ► Within reasonable ensembles, the typical tube is recurrent, ergodic and 'chaotic'. ► There are uncountably many gases that are recurrent, ergodic and 'chaotic'.
