In vitro and in vivo antifungal activities of decursin and decursinol angelate isolated from Angelica gigas against Magnaporthe oryzae, the causal agent of rice blast

► We test antifungal activities of decrusin and decursinol angelate against Magnaporthe oryzae. ► They are highly active to spore germination of the pathogen. ► The formulation containing the two compounds effectively controls rice blast. ► The coumarins control rice blast via inhibition of spore germination of M. oryzae.
