Maximizing Avian Wellness Examinations

Preventive health care for companion birds requires a thorough knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic medicine. Subclinical health problems are common in pet birds and can be detected with regular examinations and diagnostics. In most cases, environmental, nutritional, and behavioral management of pet avian species can be improved, even if there are no current health problems affecting the bird(s) being examined.
