Fisioterapia en la reconstrucción mamaria posmastectomía: a propósito de un caso

The postmastectomy mammary reconstruction is considered at the moment integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment of the breast carcinoma because it contributes to recover in objective form the corporeal image of the patient and reverts the negative psychological sequels caused by mastectomy. The reconstructive techniques of the breast consist in the application of a serial surgical techniques with selective application possibilities or adjacent on base to the necessities and possibilities of the patient. In this work is pointed out the modalities of physiotherapy intervention in the different stages of the surgical process, as member in the multidisciplinary equipment of the Andaluzas Women Mastectomy Association (AMAMA). Also a valuation of the results by Quality of Life Questionnaire for Breast Cancer.
