This study has demonstrated the importance of the variables related to the social-professional environment versus the individual variables in the rehabilitating treatment compliance. Of these, it is important to note the role of the physiotherapist as a motivator towards compliance behaviors in the parents or tutors. This results emphasizes the need to educate physiotherapists in communication skills and emotional support in order to improve the involvement of the adults in these types of treatments for children with developmental conditions.
