چکیده انگلیسی
This article discusses the influence of nurse manager coaching as a transformational leadership skill and describes an effective process for coaching staff. Although each employee is a unique individual, generational differences that have a direct effect on coaching have been identified. Knowing these differences can assist the nurse manager in using coaching more effectively with these groups. Finally, a primary outcome of coaching is to develop self efficacy of staff. By starting to coach direct reports who have either formal or informal leadership responsibilities, the nurse manager can disseminate a coaching culture within the department as a strategy to foster growth, development, and autonomy at all levels.
