Use of MEDMARX Data to Guide Population Health Improvement in the Perioperative Setting

This article describes how MEDMARX data are being used to support population health medication safety in the perioperative continuum. A systematic search of bibliographic databases and the World Wide Web was conducted to identify research articles relating to the use of MEDMARX data and to evaluate population health improvements regarding medication safety in the perioperative setting. Further research is needed to identify uses of the MEDMARX data and to develop concepts for prospective population health research and program development for the perioperative continuum.
