Perception émotionnelle des mouvements élémentaires : incidence sur les processus mnésique et exécutif

RésuméL’objectif des deux expériences présentées consiste à explorer le lien entre perception de mouvements élémentaires associés à une valence émotionnelle et processus cognitifs-émotionnels. Les résultats obtenus mettent en évidence que la visualisation de mouvement « positif » et « négatif » induit une perception d’ordre émotionnelle qui provoque des modifications sur les processus cognitifs de mémorisation et d’exécution de tâche de décomptage.

Our goal is to examine, using two controlled studies, the emotional influence of perceived basic motions on cognitive processes. The main hypothesis of this study proposes that the perception of motion will subsequently influence cognitive processing in a specific, emotional manner. In the first study, participants retrieved words with positive, negative or neutral valence while being shown basic motions associated with these same emotional valences. The results show an incongruent effect between motions and word valence and a better retrieval with “positive” motion. In the second study, participants performed an additional writing speed task before and after being shown the basic motions and words. The results indicate that a “positive” motion clearly increases performance in the writing speed task. Our data suggests that the perception of basic motion triggers an emotional response in cognitive processing depending on what kind of basic motion is perceived.
