A model of vegetation dynamics of Spartina alterniflora and Phragmites australis in an expanding estuarine wetland: Biological interactions and sedimentary effects

► We model emergent aquatic vegetation succession in a tidal wetland. ► The model was based on plant interaction, sediment loading and trapping effects. ► Prediction of the model is a different simulation result from other types of models. ► The model can be applied as tool in environmental management for the wetland.
