Modelling trophic flows in ecosystems to assess the efficiency of marine protected area (MPA), a case study on the coast of Sénégal

► We model using Ecopath and EcoTroph a marine protected area (MPA) before and after the closure of the fishery. ► We examine changes appearing in the trophic network. ► We simulate a fishery closure to see if observed changes corresponded to a MPA effect. ► A MPA effect is validated but also environmental and behavioural effects.
