Dissolved organic carbon concentrations and fluxes in forest catchments and streams: DOC-3 model

► DOC in forest streams is controlled by basin topography and hydrothermal controls. ► DOC concentrations increase with increasing wet-area portion per basin. ► DOC lags stream discharge, and this lag increases with catchment area. ► The DOC concentrations and fluxes can be quantified using the DOC-3 model. ► This quantification was done for 11 streams and 1 lake, and from 5 to 18 years.
