A simple and effective method to keep earthworms confined to open-top mesocosms

► We tested whether hook tape is effective in confining earthworms to open-top mesocosms. ► Without Velcro, up to 80% of individuals of L. rubellus and A. caliginosa escaped. ► When Velcro tape was applied, not a single earthworm escaped. ► Velcro tape is an easy and effective method to keep earthworms confined to open-top mesocosms.
