A new passive plankton trap to quantify the supply of crustacean and molluscan larvae to rocky shores

► A integrative trap was designed to collect larvae in swash and submerged period of the intertidal. ► Efficiency of the integrative trap was compared with the previous swash trap and tube trap. ► Tube traps had lower catches of plankton and being selective to certain plankton categories. ► Integrative trap is more suitable and efficient to be used in tropical and subtropical areas.
