Generating homogeneous magnetostatic field inside prolate and oblate ellipsoidal coil

Magnetostatic field distribution inside and outside of prolate and oblate ellipsoidal coil is analytically determined. The results are used to obtain the coil winding function for getting homogeneous magnetostatic field inside the prolate and oblate ellipsoidal coil when uniform current flows through it.
