Transmission performance of all-optical domain orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals due to fiber nonlinearities for long-reach PON applications

► Performance of 110 Gb/s AO-OFDM signal transmission systems. ► BER analysis for the AO-OFDM channels under the effect of fiber nonlinearity and chromatic dispersion. ► BER degradation appeared at the central channel for the high fiber launching power. ► Optimum fiber launching power was observed at approximately 6 dBm for a transmission distance of 100 km.
