Approximation by modified Srivastava–Gupta operators

In the present paper we give a modified form of Srivastava–Gupta operators which preserve the constant as well as linear functions. We represent these operators as a special cases in terms of hypergeometric series. We study some of the approximation properties and statistical approximation for these operators.
