A direct method for constructing the traveling wave solutions of a modified generalized Vakhnenko equation

Proposing a direct method, namely, the traveling wave reduction combined with a smart variable transformation, a series of traveling wave solutions are constructed for a modified generalized Vakhnenko equation. These solutions include the Jacobi elliptic function solution, the Weierstrass elliptic function solution and the trigonometric function solution.
