On difference equations with powers as solutions and their connection with invariant curves

We look for nonlinear systems of difference equations which have power functions as solutions and we find a connection to the theory of invariant curves and to self-reversed polynomials. In particular, we construct algebraic solutions of a special equation of invariant curves.
