Solitary wave solutions and periodic solutions for higher-order nonlinear evolution equations

The sine–cosine and the tanh methods combined with the homogeneous balance method are used for analytic study for higher-order nonlinear evolution equations. Exact solitary wave solutions and periodic solutions are developed. A comparison between the two used methods is presented.
