Mortar upwind finite volume element method for convection diffusion problems

In this paper, we consider the mortar upwind finite volume element method with local linear conforming finite element space for the convection diffusion problems and show that the mortar upwind finite volume element approximations derived are convergent with optimal order in the H1-norm.
