Compactons and solitary wave solutions for the Boussinesq wave equation and its generalized form

In this paper we examine the Boussinesq wave equation and its generalized form. Compactons, solitons, solitary patterns, and periodic solutions are obtained. The tanh method is effectively employed in this work.
