:Recently, the use of mobile-apps for self-monitoring is increasing rapidly. These apps are generally delivered through app stores that let users post reviews. These reviews provide a rich data source for user to select appropriate apps and developers as well as platform providers to understand user-reported issues. Asthma apps, though few in numbers, but are the most widely downloaded and used. Asthma is a lung disease that is affecting over 300 million people worldwide. It inflames and narrows the airways and produce extra mucus. There are very few medical apps developed for asthma self-care. In this paper, we present empirical study for exploring features, ratings and downloads of asthma apps. We study five thousands reviews of ten Asthma mobile apps, of the five top rated and five low rated at Google Play Store.
