Type-2 fuzzy model based controller design for neutralization processes

► An inverse controller design strategy based on a type-2 fuzzy model is introduced. ► The inverse type-2 fuzzy control signal generation is handled as an optimization problem. ► The optimization problem is solved at each sampling time in an online manner. ► An IMC structure is proposed where the main controller is the inverse type-2 fuzzy model. ► The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown on a real-time pH neutralization process.
