Decentralized PI/PID controllers based on gain and phase margin specifications for TITO processes

► The TITO process is decoupled and FOPDT models are obtained for the decoupled system. ► A decentralized PI/PID controller is designed for the TITO process for desired GPMs. ► Two simulation examples are studied. ► An empirical model of the Level-Temperature process is obtained for real time testing.
