Experiment study on porous fiber drying enhancement with application of power ultrasound

The main aim of this article is to assess the effect of power ultrasound on porous fiber dehydration process. Ultrasound assisted experiments indicate that porous fiber dehydration is apparently enhanced when power is no less than 90 W and only falling rate period is observed, which is different from experiments without ultrasound assisted. As by increasing the power, the influence of ultrasound is strengthened and the nonlinear relationship of ultrasound power and drying time is revealed. In addition, the dry basis moisture content is decreased with the drying process, which can weaken the effect of ultrasound.
