Syntheses and structures of the first two tetra-scandium substituted polyoxometalates

The first two tetra-Sc substituted polyoxotungstates constructed from trilacunary Keggin [B-α-SbW9O33]9 − moieties have been synthesized. One represents a pure inorganic cluster and another shows an organic-inorganic hybrid one-dimensional POM chain. Notably, these two compounds also contain the largest number of Sc centers of any POMs to date.106
