Terbium-biphenyl-3,3′-disulfonyl-4,4′-dicarboxylate framework with sulfonate sites for luminescent sensing of Cr3 + ion

A novel Tb-organic framework 1 based on the biphenyl-3,3′-disulfonyl-4,4′-dicarboxylate ligand has been synthesized. Compound 1 features a 3D pillared framework with the sulfonate sites pointing to the pores, which can capture the Cr3 +, highlighting the potential for Cr3 + ion luminescent sensor.
