Research Highlights►This Special Issue brings together 13 papers on radiation transport theory. ►It results from two special half-day sessions held at the ANS's “M&C2009” meeting. ►One, mostly nuclear-minded, was on “Transport in Stochastic Media” (7 papers). ►The other, new to ANS, was on “Radiation Transport in Earth Sciences” (6 papers). ►Overall goal is to promote cross-disciplinary (Earth+nuclear) scientific research.
