This paper deals with the operation of fault tolerant boost converters under normal and faulty conditions. The boost converters are widely used in most of our renewable energy systems and also in automobile applications. The converters are subjected to various types of fault, where each and every device in a converter is responsible for creating a fault. The response of the single switch dc-dc converter under different possible faults were analyzed which helps in designing a fault tolerant DC-DC converter. The response of each and every device under normal and different possible faults were obtained using MATLAB Simulink model. Further temperature analysis can also be done on the boost converter to obtain the response of the converters under different temperatures
