Stroke in adults with Down syndrome

- There are no studies about stroke characteristics in adults with Down syndrome (DS).
- Congenital heart disease accounted only for one third of ischemic stroke cases.
- Moyamoya syndrome in DS patients' can present with intracerebral hemorrhage.
- Adult DS patients with stroke seem to have high intra-hospital mortality.
