Complex robust whitening with application to blind identification of same DoA multipath

In this work, we generalize the robust whitening SOBI algorithm to the complex case by using the real PC theorem. Using this generalization, we create a variant of the SOBI algorithm called Complex Robust whitening sOBI, or CROBI. We illustrate that CROBI offers improved performance over other existing algorithms like SOBI, JADE, eJADE, and BIRTH, when blindly identifying complex (or real) signals in a context where the directions of arrival of multipath of the input signal are the same.
