Genetic and transcriptional organization of the groEL operon containing trxA in Gemella morbillorum

► A novel genetic structure, groES-groEL-trxA, was found in Gemella morbillorum. ► No CIRCE in upstream region of groE, but there was putative CtsR binding site. ► There were two transcripts, groES-groEL-trxA (large) and trxA only (small). ► Treatment of heat or diamide increased the transcription level of groES-groEL-trxA.
