Modulatory action of acetylcholine on the Na+-dependent action potentials in Kenyon cells isolated from the mushroom body of the cricket brain

Acetylcholine increased both the firing frequency and the amplitude of Na spikes. This action is mediated by a muscarinic receptor activation. Acetylcholine modulates Na and K conductance.
