One-pot hydrothermal synthesis of silver nanowires via citrate reduction

► Ag nanowires were synthesized by using only water, silver ions and citrate. ► No external seeds or templates were applied. ► Molar ratio of silver ions to citrate, pH, and temperature were critical. ► Also useful for the synthesis of monodisperse Ag nanoparticles.
