Evaluating the suitability of a generic fungal infection model for pest risk assessment studies

► We performed a sensitivity analysis assessment on a generic fungal infection model. ► We parameterized the model for four very diverse pathogens. ► We explored a broad range of heterogeneous climatic conditions. ► We found that the model is able to deeply differentiate its responses. ► We demonstrate its suitability to be used in pest risk assessment studies.
