Implementing storm damage in a dynamic vegetation model for regional applications in Sweden

► We have extended a dynamical vegetation model by including a wind-damage module. ► With dynamical vegetation and wind damage, management options and climate scenarios can be tested. ► Regional level variation in damage was reasonably well described (R2 = 0.43).
